1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (low-fat works fine)
3/4 C. grated parmesan cheese
1/2 C. butter
1/2 C. milk
1 (8 oz.) pkg. fettuccine, cooked and drained
Chicken or Shrimp (optional)
Steamed broccoli (optional)
In a large saucepan, combine cream cheese, parmesan cheese, butter and milk, stirring constantly until smooth. Toss pasta lightly with sauce, coating well. Add chicken and broccoli or shrimp on top. Serves 4 to 6.
Note: This is extremely rich, like having dessert for dinner. I think next time I will try tortellini instead of fettuccine. I don't even want to know how many calories is in this so I think it would be good for a special occasion dinner.
